By registering with D4O-AG, the User – hereinafter referred to as “Member” – agrees to the following terms of use with respect to the Operator:
Members who participate in discussion forums and comments commit to:- Refraining from any insults, punishable content, pornography, and vulgar language in their posts,
- Bearing sole responsibility for the content they post, not infringing on third-party rights (in particular trademark, copyright, and personality rights), and fully indemnifying the Operators of “D4O-AG” against any third-party claims arising from their posts.
- Not posting advertising of any kind in forums or comments, and not using forums and comments for any type of commercial activity. This applies in particular to the publication of “0900” telephone numbers for any purpose.
There is no entitlement whatsoever to the publication of submitted comments or forum posts. The Operators of “D4O-AG” reserve the right to edit or delete comments and forum posts at their own discretion. In the event of violations of the obligations under items 1, 2, and 3, the Operators further reserve the right to temporarily suspend or permanently delete the membership. To the extent that the Member makes use of the option to submit their own contributions for the editorial section of “D4O-AG”, the following applies:
A prerequisite for posting one’s own contributions is that the Member has entered their full and correct first and last name in their “D4O-AG” user profile or enters it there after submitting the article. Submitted contributions will be publicly attributed, where applicable, with the name entered there. The Member hereby makes the following declarations for all contributions submitted by him or her in the future on “D4O-AG”:
The Member warrants that the submitted contributions are free from third-party rights, in particular copyright, trademark, or personality rights. This applies to all submitted contributions and visual works. The Member grants the Operators of “D4O-AG” an unrestricted right of use for the submitted contributions. This includes publication on the internet at “D4O-AG” as well as on other internet servers, in newsletters, print media, and other publications.
Submitted contributions will be deleted or anonymized at the Member’s request via e-mail to the Webmaster’s address. Deletion or anonymization will be completed within 7 days of notification. The Operators shall only be liable for consequential damages arising from delayed deletion of the contribution to the extent that such damages are not based on a breach of duty by the Member (under items 1, 2, and 3 above) and to the extent that they are furthermore based on gross fault or willful misconduct by the Operators of “D4O-AG”. We expressly point out in this context that “D4O-AG” is regularly indexed by search engines and that we have no influence on whether, where, and for how long contributions published on our site may also be stored and accessible in search engine databases and web directories after deletion from “D4O-AG”. There is no entitlement whatsoever to the storage, publication, or archiving of submitted contributions. The Operators reserve the right not to publish submitted contributions without stating reasons, to edit them prior to publication, or to delete them after publication at their own discretion.
The publication of submitted contributions does not give rise to any remuneration claims (fees, license fees, expense allowances, or similar) by the Member against “D4O-AG”. Participation is voluntary and unpaid.
Age Rating, User Obligations, Miscellaneous
"Die 4te Offenbarung" has been rated by the USK (German Entertainment Software Self-Regulation) for ages 12 and above.
Due to the dynamic role-playing nature of player interactions, we recommend a rating of ages 16 and above, deviating from the official rating.
Insofar as the internet service offers the possibility of entering personal or business data, the disclosure of such data by the User is expressly voluntary. The use of our service is permitted – to the extent technically possible and reasonable – without providing such data, or by providing anonymized data or a pseudonym. Further important information on the subject of data protection can be found in our Privacy Policy (GDPR).
The User is obligated to keep the username/password combination confidential and not to disclose it to third parties. In the event of suspected misuse of access credentials, the Operator must be informed. Furthermore, the User is obligated to keep the e-mail address stored in the Accounting system and Forum up to date and to check for incoming messages from D4O AG as needed, as this represents an essential communication channel between D4O AG and the User.
For third-party websites to which this service refers via so-called links, the respective providers bear responsibility. The Operator is not responsible for the content of such third-party pages. Furthermore, this website may be linked to by other sites via so-called links without our knowledge. The Operator assumes no responsibility for representations, content, or any connection to this website on third-party websites. The Operator is only responsible for third-party content if it has positive knowledge of such content (including unlawful or criminal content) and it is technically possible and reasonable to prevent its use. However, the Operator is not obligated under the Telemediengesetz (German Telemedia Act) to continuously monitor third-party content. Special Promotions
Special promotions, granting of free play periods, events, bonuses, item distributions, fulfillment of user requests, etc., are provided on a purely voluntary basis by the Provider. The User cannot derive any entitlement of any kind to participation, involvement, fulfillment, conversion into money, or monetary benefits therefrom.
